Zinnias ~ A splash of summer color

I'm trying to post flower pictures that are not only yellow...really I'm trying hard.

Zinnia is a genus of 20 species of annual and perennial plants of family Asteraceae, originally from scrub and dry grassland in an area stretching from the American Southwest to South America, but primarily Mexico, and notable for their solitary long-stemmed flowers that come in a variety of bright colors.

Flowers at Anheuser Busch Brewery St. Louis, MO

If you are near the St. Louis area you have to take the free tour at the Anheuser Busch Brewery. Beautiful maintained landscaping and flowers all around the company's
property. The free tour is almost a must.

'The Shickle Bush' | Pink Velour Crape Myrtle

For our first anniversary we got a gift card from Lowe's from the "Shickle family".
During our garden department tour at Lowe's we found this nice Pink Velour Crape Myrtle bush. It was planted the same evening and we call it the "Shickle bush".
